Donald Kauth grew up in Tuckahoe,
New York and attended
Eastchester High School. His undergraduate years were
spent
at Brown University and he received his MBA from Wharton.
In 1954, Donald founded Guiding Eyes for the Blind
in Yorktown Heights,
New York and served as the Executive Director until
he retired.
During the summer of 1951, Camp Kiwago opened its
doors, providing
inner-city boys with a summer camp experience. Donald
was the first
director and his love of camping was truly evident.
Eventually, Donald became Director of Camping for
the Boys Athletic League.
Donald
was a true leader, with a passion for life, and the
work he did!
