After completing her Red Cross tour of duty in World
War II, Margaret attended
Columbia University Graduate School. While attending
Columbia, Mrs. Kauth interviewed and hired Margaret
as a counselor. Along with her many roles as counselor,
program director, senior camper director, Director of
Oh-Neh-Tah, and staff recruiter, she will
also be remembered as counselor of a Manitou baby cabin
(6 years and under) and
living in the Winter Cabin with Mrs. Kauth. Her love
of theater made the Manitou Barn Theater glow with budding
camper stars. The magic of the stage came to life with
the costumes and scenery she created.
Margaret lost her battle with cancer in September 1999
and
is survived by her identical twin sister, Margery Seidel.
